The camera does not have a zoom function. Best way to do this is to record in the highest resolution you camera can handle (2.7k) and then zoom into the image in your editor. By doing this you can still maintain a full 1080p HD output. See my YouTube Channel for GoPro Reviews & Tips!

I don't have a White so this may not be worth much, but my reading of the GoPro webpage is that, unlike the Silver or the Black, the white only has one FOV setting for each resolution mode. 720p is Ultra Wide 960p is Ultra Wide 1080p is Medium Regardless of what the option says, it is not changeable in any mode.
